Rodney Coastal Oysters
Welcome to Rodney Coastal Oysters, we are a small family business owned by Rod & Daphne and employ our two sons. We have been operating for over twelve years.
Our oyster farms are located at Pahi (Kaipara) and Dyers Estuary (Rodney). We harvest Pacific oysters regularly from our farms.
The oysters are “wild caught“ and sold live in the whole shell.
Deliveries are in Sacks or Polyboxes.
Sacks are packed in either 5 or 10 dozen lots. We deliver direct to your door by chiller truck, our route is between Wellsford and the North Shore Auckland.
Polyboxes are in 4, 5, 10 dozen packs. We have partnered with NZ Couriers for orders outside of our delivery area. Our oysters are packed to a very high standard to ensure they retain their freshness. They are contained in a food grade polybox which is recyclable and reusable. A 1kg chiller gel pack is included.
The 4 dozen polybox pack contains only large sized oysters. The others are a mix.

The nature of freshly harvested oysters means that our harvesting times and dates have to be flexible and are based on the tides and weather.
This means that we don’t carry a “stock” of oysters (because they would not then be fresh). As a result, this website is updated when we have Oysters to sell. This happens every week.
The best way to get fresh oysters is to visit this site frequently, or to register your email and we will let you know when we have fresh oysters available. The courier is able to deliver “Overnight”.
Additionally, we will harvest to order. So if you have specific needs, you can order for the next harvest.

Delivery and shipping instructions
We use NZ couriers overnight freight and require orders to be placed no later than Wednesday 10am for delivery by Friday the latest. We can also deliver earlier in the week depending on harvesting times and couriers. Please note that we don’t deliver to the south Island or rural areas.
